Aarogya Mela

The implementation of announcement through Honourable Chief Minister of the State, for the purpose of performing therapeutic, educational, literary and touristic useful forms of health fair Ayurveda treatment systems on large scale, it has been held for the first time in November 2007 in Ajmer, Jaipur and Udaipur.

In Year 2008, Jaipur, Bikaner, Bharatpur, Kota, Jodhpur and Ajmer.

In Year 2009, Jaipur, Bikaner, Udaipur, Kota, Jodhpur and Ajmer.

Aarogya Diwas

This day is celebrated on the first Saturday of every month by Health Department departmental Chikitsalaya/Aushadhalaya. In this, the following points are discussed with villagers, public representatives and officers posted in the village:

- To provide information for the prevention of seasonal diseases.

- To provide information about the utility of the local flora found in the area.
- To provide information about the benefits of daily routine, night time routine, healthy dietary habits, exercise etc.
- Explaining the remedy and benefits of water purification and environment cleanliness.

- To exchange home remedies and medical experiences.

- To ask for feedbacks for the work done by the dispensary and suggestions for improvement. .

- Ensuring public participation in family welfare and other national programs.

 

 

 

Dhanvantri Jayanti Festival

Dhanvantri trayodashi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Dhanvantri, who is known as the founder of Ayurvedic science. According to mythological narrative, Lord dhanvatari whose one hand holds nectar and the other hand holds the herbs and Ayurveda scriptures. He is known as one of the fourteen gems (Ratna) originated from the churning of the ocean (samundra manthan) by the gods and demons in order to obtain the nectar (amrit), Lord Dhanvantri has introduced nectar element (Amrita) in the herbal medicinal therapy while spreading the knowledge of Ayurveda science among people. On the day of Dhanteras, the Adi Dev of health is remembered with a cognizance and worshiped with the desire of health to make people free from the suffering of diseases.

Every year on the occasion of Dhanvantri Jayanti, health week is organized and celebrated. The state-level main event is organized in Jaipur / Ajmer to honour departmental officers / employees with the citation for the laudable services.

 

 

Organizing camps and exhibitions

Periodical medical camps and exhibitions are organized by the department to make the people aware of the fundamentals of healthy living and food, to give proper information in the state about their proper treatment of disease and to prevent various diseases as well as to treat the person suffering from the disease,. The department organizes the camps in the state on the occasion of religious events, cultural fairs and festivals.

The department also makes arrangement of medical camps for medical treatment through the Kshar-sutra therapy system for the people suffering from Piles and fistula in ano. In addition,  time to time, medical camps are organized by voluntary organizations, social institutions and rich people. In these camps, the department provides the service of medical specialists and needed medicines.
